My Name is Shantell Turner. I grew up in Baton Rouge, LA and relocated here after my military service ended. I was in the United States Army for 7 years. I decided to go to college to help people, and determined that counseling gave me the opportunity to help people when they need it most. I graduated from Norfolk State University, where I obtained my BA in Psychology, and my MA in Community Counseling.

My ultimate goal in substance abuse therapy is to encourage sobriety through groups, counseling, and professional/peer support in a safe environment so that clients can successfully beat the negative effects of substance use.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, which gives me the opportunity to help more people on a more independent platform.
